Downtown public safety

The owner of a downtown arcade thanked the city manager for organizing a safety forum, described an 11-year-old afraid to visit downtown, and asked that the forum be scheduled as soon as possible.

The CPA at 360 Ninth Street described daily threatening behavior near her office, said staff have been threatened, and asked for a dedicated police officer and consistent ordinance enforcement.

Owner of Gizmo's Arcade reported daily death threats against staff and customers, said police say they can do nothing, and warned he may close if the city doesn't hold repeat offenders accountable.
